How to optimise your Nebula usage

Modified on Wed, 25 Sep, 2024 at 2:09 AM

In this article, we will talk about a few things you can do to optimize your Nebula usage:

1. For Nebula Queries:

Be specific and limit the scope

Focus your question to reduce ambiguity, avoiding vague or broad prompts.

A bad example would be,

“Show me all the flags”

This will lead to the AI searching through the entire database and will utilise more usage tokens to answer your query.

A good example would be,

“Show me all the flags workflow flags for PRs assigned to John Doe”

This will limit the scope for the AI to search and will utilise less of your usage tokens to answer your query.

2. For Nebula based PR Flags:

 a. Switch off the flags you don’t need

In the Flags visibility settings, you turn off the AI related flags that you don’t want to see.

b. Optimize your sync cycle

The greater the period between two sync cycles, the lesser the quota you will utilize. Hence, thoroughly assess how often you want your data to be updated and only then set up your sync cycle.
