Tools:
Atlassian Jira
Intent:
The intent of this flag is to connect to the project management tool (e.g. Jira), unearth all the build issues that are being executed or planned for execution which don't have test case assignments. Scrum teams (in many cases) start the test case planning (based on requirements) in sync. with the build; this flags enables Engineering managers/leads to uncover build issues that exists as an anomaly to this rule.
Configurations:
- Define the type of sprints to be monitored by the platform (active sprint, planning sprint or all types of sprints).
- Enable this as a compliance flag if you think this can have an impact on your internal or external regulations; this will ensure the visibility of all the artefacts violating this flag in the compliance status report.
- Additionally, in the Jira integration configuration (Integration trigger from the menu -> Jira, under product management -> Advanced tab -> QA/Testing section), specify the Jira Issue type that represents a test cases (the platform uses this configuration to understand the issue type that typically represents a test case in Jira).
See this article for more details with respect to Jira integration.
